Taxis and Ubers/Lyfts were right outside the front door. I was also able to request late departure easily at the front desk. I was able to request no room service till I left by asking the front desk. This alone is reason enough for my trust in them. I immediately went to the front desk and asked for a room change, my name to be stricken from the record, and to be escorted by security and they handled the situation with swiftness and grace. I had a death threat the first day in Vegas by someone who knew my room number (no connection to Defcon). What's makes me uneasy is the fact they aren't very armed. Security guards all over, which is comforting. You either get a room that's window looks at a wall or you get one looking out at beautiful Vegas. There is a second more intense list they can put you on for this, but it will break your ability to connect to the wifi. So cleaning people aren't able to redirect people to your room. What does mean? My understanding is the front desk are the only ones able to see who's staying there. You are able to request being entered as "Non-registered guest". (Not including fees you accumulate during your stay =$41 per day for resort fees) I ended up paying about $680 for 5 days using that method. There is actually a way to get the price reduced by 15% and that's by downloading the app and getting the gold member ship. To start off, I know it's proximity to the strip increases it's price.
